Mike Urbaniak (b. 1981) is a cultural journalist, author of hundreds of interviews with people of culture. For two decades, as an openly gay man, he has also been involved in the Polish queer scene, both as a journalist and an activist. He co-created numerous cultural LGBT+ projects, co-authored the book Gejdar with Dominika Buczak, and co-hosted the Homolobby show with Maciej Nowak on Radio RDC (the Warsaw branch of Polish Radio), the only queer broadcast in public media in Poland's history. For years, he has been writing for Wysokie Obcasy, a weekend magazine of Gazeta.pl, and the Polish edition of Vogue, in which he hosted the queer podcast Open Mike. He has co-founded the Stonewall Bookstore, and Stonewall University, and has interviewed people about LGBT+ literature on Stonewall Podcasts for several years. In 2018, he relocated from Warsaw to Poznań.
